Ethereum is on track to have a higher annual transaction volume than Bitcoin for the first time.

2020 will be the first year Ethereum will have more transactions than Bitcoin. The huge development of DeFi in the Crypto space is undoubtedly a huge factor contributing to this.

Could we see Ethereum overtake Bitcoin as the 'top' crypto in the future?

Offering $500 Bitcoin for someone to create an incremental game EXPLANATION INSIDE

So I really want people to take the perspective I have of life on, and something I visualize in my head that I want to be represented is the fact that our life is like an incremental game with a time limit. And if you play the game well enough, you could increment to the point of helping to understand genetics and cure aging.
This game will inspire people to think big.
I am very busy and not only don't have time to create the game but also the mechanics etc should be all by your design.
If you have ever seen /outside it can definitely take a viewpoint of such.
The basic idea is starting out as a lower-class human.
You work a basic wage job, then there are different paths to completion but essentially the goal is to beat the game before time runs out. Time being death, so the character can, as the game progresses show signs of aging. And you extend your clock with some of the achievements you make.
It can start with basic stuff like exercising, upgrading your diet, then going to supplements, then to stem cell injections, then blood transfusions, then DNA edits, then full DNA restructures, then mind uploading to a computer would be the final form where you could add "Prestige" Gameplay
I see many different amazing fun ways this game could be made. I know the payment is not amazing but something that should be understood is the very act of this game existing, everyone who plays it will have this new viewpoint on life which...
The butterfly effect has more power than ever given the rate of information exchange in today’s society. The thoughts and ideas that you put into the universe will have a great deal of an effect on the reality that exists down the line. The butterfly effect is often thought of as being random where even the very smallest action such as a butterfly flapping its wings, would completely change details of a reality far down the line. However when it comes to specific qualia, feelings, and information within a human's brain. The output is not entirely random but pointed in a certain direction. In this case the gameplay of every person that plays the game will increase the chance that the goal is completed within your, and my lifetime.
This is pretty meta isn't it? Im playing the same game and thing Im doing is trying to create a game within the game to recruit more people to play the big game with me, or even understand they are playing it.

Today I received my salary in Bitcoin for the first time

Yes it happened, finally.
This is what freedom feels like. For me is not about speed or scale, or even cheap fees.
It's about freedom.
For around 6 years I've been working remotely from my third world country for companies abroad, receiving my salary in USD. Regulations in my country still have not catch up yet, so my funds are frozen by my bank from time to time.
They ask me for an official contract to validate my income, but what I show them does not meet their expectations. "Virtual contract? What is even that?". They want something signed by pen. All this damn hassle just to receive and use my hard-earned money as I see fit.
But today, I'm free.
Bitcoin is the true breaker of chains, and the only way forward.

Bitcoin Cash does not need to overtake the price/market cap of Bitcoin for a "flippening" to happen.

The common "agreed upon" idea when it comes to hashrate is that it is primarily dictated by price rather than the other way around. I also thought this was the case until I realized that there is more to the equation than the price of each individual coin. Right now it is true, as most mining revenue comes from the block reward subsidy. This made me realize that miners' hashrate is not proportional to the price of coins, but rather the block reward. So it is entirely possible for Bitcoin Cash to have a higher hashrate and accumulated PoW than Bitcoin, but still be worth less per coin.
This makes me wonder: If both coins were to co-exist where Bitcoin Cash is used for retail purchases and as cash, while Bitcoin is used as a speculative asset that people hold (I know this sounds silly, but it seems possible given the irrational nature of the market), which becomes the 'real' Bitcoin?
Bitcoin Cash will have a higher hashrate and accumulated PoW making it valid as THE Bitcoin, but BTC will have a higher market cap and coin price, meaning that "the market" has determined it to be the real Bitcoin.

Bitcoin for small payments

In theory I really like the idea of Bitcoin, but as a currency there are things I don't fully understand yet. For example, lets say my friend and I go to lunch, my friend forgets to bring his wallet and I tell him I'll pay for him, and he offers to send me some Bitcoin to cover the cost of his meal.
To me, it seems the issue here is that the network transfer fee is prohibitively high for small payments. I was looking into this but trying to send approximately 15 USD worth of bitcoin to another account I have but the transfer fee was like 13-15% which I think is incredibly high, I even put it on the cheapest method and it only went down to 12%.
Obviously this becomes more justifiable with larger sums of money, but I don't really intend on having large payments through this.
Are there better methods, am I doing something wrong? Like I said, BTC is something I really like, and would like to see e-commerce go towards crypto because hypothetically, it might actually be more resistant to fraud or theft than the current methods of payment.
